research- coventions of music videos.

As we are getting further into research and planning we have decided we need to research the conventions we are going with that are similar to our music track and what we could use to take inspiration from their videos and which we are challenging, that are different genres but what we have also taken inspiration from.

The artist that is rather similar to ours and we have taken inspiration from is Katy B- What Love Is Made Of. Katy's music is very alike to our track and is the same genre, we have taken inspiration from the part where there is cars surrounding her in the night with their lights on. We thought this would be a good idea to put into our music video as it is very effective. However we may not be able to progress with this idea as we may not be able to find someone with a car.

Another artist we are taking inspiration from is Aluna George, her style is quite quirky and we thought because she has a similar genre to ours we could take inspiration from this to make our actor stand out also. We thought our actor could use a similar style such as the bomber jackets and red lips with big earrings like Aluna George.

We are also challenging conventions by taking inspiration from two songs from the pop genre. Although they are in different genres we thought they would fit well with our track because they use similar resources that we want to use. In the Neon Jungle -Trouble video we thought we could do the same as them where there is a shot of the street to set the scene and also where they use the spotlights we also thought this would be effective to use to single out the actor.

We have also taken inspiration from Ariana Grande- Baby I, in one of the scenes she is stood infront of a graffiti board which we thought would look good in our music video because the graffiti almost matches our genre, as it is kind of street/house music and we also thought it could look effective if we spray painted it with the title of our song or actors name.
